Corporate Volunteering

A 21 strong volunteer team from Enterprise Rent a Car Egham worked determinedly at Ashford and St Peters hospital.

In 33 degrees heat, they split into small teams to work on  7 internal courtyards, clearing, weeding and digging.

Andy Hanney, Estates Manager at Ashford and St Peters said, “Huge thanks for the hard work given by 21 Enterprise volunteers last week - organised through Voluntary Support North Surrey - grafting in extreme hot weather temperatures.  We are all very grateful for what was done by the 5 teams who worked tirelessly all day.  This is the second year Enterprise has worked at St Peters and many people are commenting on and noticing the courtyard improvements created by the teams already.”

Ed Spitzer, European Remarketing Director, Enterprise Holdings said: “ At Enterprise, we are committed to strengthening our communities one neighbourhood at a time.  It was a pleasure to work with the wonderful people at St Peter’s Hospital, once again, to tidy its seven courtyards and multi-faith  garden.  We are happy to have been able to play even a small part in improving the experience for staff and patients and look forward to working with St Peter’s again next year.”

Paxmead Girl Guiding

A team of 23 volunteers from Enterprise Rent a Car Egham spent a day volunteering for Paxmead Girlguiding Surrey West.

Paxmead set them to work removing the internal panelling of the large boathouse, re-sitting a huge log pile, painting the entry gates & postbox and painting & decorating an en-suite shower room and pantry.  The team worked tirelessly and finished some of the jobs by lunchtime allowing time to clear nettles, cut tree branches, sweep paths, pressure wash the outside of the centre, move boats, re-site picnic tables and sweep the gravel without pausing for breath!

This was a fantastic start to the year and everyone’s hard work was recognised by the centre’s volunteers.  Gill Wilkinson on behalf of the centre quoted “My first thought this morning when I woke was that I must make contact as soon as I could to say an enormous thank you to you and all your team for your efforts yesterday.  I strolled around yesterday evening locking everywhere up and just looking at all you had done - AMAZING!  Your efforts mean that we can spend most of our volunteering hours between now and our fun days preparing activities for the girls, which is just great.  Please pass my thanks to all of your team and we look forward to seeing you all again at Paxmead soon”

St Peter’s Children’s Ward

Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue

Two groups of volunteers from ADP spent several days at Harper Asprey.  The first volunteer team did an amazing job laying bark along the pathways in the glorious sunshine.  The second team were equally as amazing despite the torrential wind and rain!

Employees from Enterprise Rent a Car in Aldershot got off to a flying start when they went to Aerobility to volunteer, cleaning and polishing the aircrafts.

They all expressed how much they were really enjoying the experience and did a fantastic job.

They plan to go back on a regular basis and have agreed to volunteer at the air show!
