It is perhaps one of the most unlikely yet enduring features of a town some say is struggling, like many urban centres, to maintain its heritage.

West End

The village of West End in Surrey Heath is a beautiful countryside village neighbouring Woking, Bagshot and Bisley. In the centre of the village is the first boys home to be founded by Queen Victoria, Gordons School (in 1885). It’s a vibrant community with multiple sports clubs and an excellent community atmosphere. . If you want to volunteer in West End, organisations like the West End & Bisley Care and Good Neighbour Group are always looking for people to help members of the community who are in need through charitable work, regardless of their age or the problem that they face. Voluntary roles for the group vary from driving people from place to place to making appointments for those who aren’t able. Along with this, the Holy Trinity Church in West End is a vibrant community Church who are always grateful for volunteers to help its mission to effectively work as a church.
