Akamai give their time in memory of lost colleague

Global technology player Akamai encourages employees to volunteer every year around 11th September in memory of one of their co-founders, Danny Lewin, who was killed during the 9/11 attacks. His legacy remains strong across the company and the team have developed quite a reputation for the enthusiasm and results they bring when they volunteer en masse each year.
This year was no exception, with 20 employees heading to Holme Farm in New Haw and tackling a range of jobs from clearing barbed wire to moving hay and attacking brambles. The results were incredible and the Holme Farm team were delighted with all they achieved – all done with a smile and a huge amount of energy. And it was good to hear that the team at Akamai enjoyed it so much, they are already planning a return visit to Holme Farm before the year is out. Huge thanks to all involved.
