Voluntary Support North Surrey would like to congratulate all the worthy winners of Runnymede’s Civic Awards, run by Runnymede Borough Council, which were held on the evening of Wednesday 22nd February.

We are particularly proud of our Oksana Belcher (pictured far left) who won the Volunteer of the Year Award. Oksana has supported our Chertsey drop-in for Ukrainians as a Volunteer Translator, giving a great deal of time, energy and care.

Alex Zhurba won Young Artist of the Year (pictured second from left, with Michael More-Molyneux, Lord Lieutenant of Surrey and his wife Sarah). Alex’s artwork depicting his experiences and thoughts on the first 30 days of the invasion were featured on our instagram throughout October instagram.com/volsupportns/

Finally, we were also delighted to see Hebrews Coffee Shop in Addlestone winning the Volunteer Group Award, with Holme Farm, Dementia Care and Revive Coffee Shop deserving runners up.
