I.T. Buddy Volunteer

Established in 2006, Merstham Community Facility Trust (MCFT) is a charity that aims to support, connect, and empower the local community. We work with the public and other organisations in a common effort to improve social welfare, health, education, employment and the general quality of life of members of the local community. Based in the vibrant Merstham Hub, MCFT provides a safe, accessible space for individuals to receive inclusive access to provisions and opportunities.

About the role:

We are looking for volunteers to join our I.T. support group. From blue badge applications to email set up, you will be empowering the community through the use of technology.

Activities includes:

• Assisting people to complete job searches, online application forms and prepare CV's.
• Assisting people with online benefit applications.
• Assisting people to set up and organise their own digital devices.
• Looking after our laptops.

What skills do I need?

The ideal candidate will be:

• Confident with the use of computers and/or phones (Apple, Android or Windows).
• Able to support people with a range of needs.
• Non-judgemental.
