There are exciting opportunities to volunteer at Kempton Steam Museum as it embarks on an ambitious programme to showcase Kempton’s vital role in supplying much of London’s water and become a “must visit” international attraction. The museum is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who work hard to preserve, operate and develop this important heritage site. Being part of our friendly team is a rewarding and enjoyable experience and there are many different ways to get involved. We need people with all sorts of skills and capabilities no matter how much or little time you feel able to offer. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with our visitor facing roles on our public open days in the following areas: • Front of house • Tour guides • Refreshments and souvenir sales • General visitor support and guidance

What skills do I need?

We are looking for people who like dealing with the public by answering questions and providing guidance and support to our visitors.
