We are an active District with a variety of groups which have Squirrel Dreys (4 - 6 Years), Beaver Colonies (6 – 8 years), Cub Packs (8 – 10½ years) and Scout Troops 10½ – 14 years). We have 2 Explorer Units (14 – 18 years) and a Network (18 – 25 years). Boys and girls are welcome to join in every section.

Banstead District Scouts Trustee Board is seeking additional members to help us provide the planning and governance to enable young people to have adventures, learn new skills and have loads of fun.

As a member of our Trustee Board you would bring your skills that allow us to manage our finances, make medium to long terms plans, for not only expansion of our facilities, but also the decisions on the direction of our local organisation. We are a fully inclusive organisation.

The District Trustee Board meets three times a year, (January/April/September), plus the Annual General Meeting (June). No prior knowledge of scouting is required, just the willingness to volunteer in a governance capacity. The successful candidate will be required to complete on-line learning as an Induction, plus GDPR, together with Safety and Safeguarding learning.

What skills do I need?

Enjoy working with and for young people, be a team player, good communication skills, with an eye on maintaining correct procedures, friendly.

Full training will be given for any other skills required.
