We hope you have achieved your fundraising goals this year. If you’re reflecting on what’s worked well and what your next steps are for 2024, we thought a round-up of some of the tools and tips from us from the past year might help you on your way:

Strategy: Do you have a fundraising plan for 2024? A fundraising plan is vital as it helps you to identify gaps and make the most of your resources. It should ensure you have a good mix of income streams, and help ensure you have funding for core costs. Structuring some of your fundraising activity around awareness days can help to spread your message.

Make your case: Knowing how the work you do makes a difference is a key element of your fundraising success. If you’re not sure how to measure your impact, take a look at some of these practical, achievable suggestions from Elliot Trevithick, Principal Consultant for Charity Evaluation and Learning at NPC: download his slides.

Digital fundraising: There’s no getting away from the fact that more and more people are giving online – and here are three reasons why you should embrace it. This includes email marketing – here are some top tips to make sure your emails hit the mark.

Corporate giving: Do you have a supportive relationship with local businesses? If this is an area you would like to develop, then have a read of our article “Building relationships with local businesses” to get you started. And don’t forget small businesses too.

Events fundraising: According to Enthuse’s Mass Events Report from November, 21% of the public are already committed to a charity event in the next year, and another 42% are thinking about it. Our article “Getting the most from your fundraising events” has lots of suggestions for making your events a success.
